How it works
Your goal
Just for the sake of 120% clarity: your goal is to run in a path that has the shape of a circle. And to be able to submit your running, walking or hiking activities, please use one of the free apps ASICS Runkeeper or Strava. Both available for Android and iPhone, so there is no excuse to chicken out.
You are 3 steps away from eternal fame:
Step 1: Make a plan: search for a circle
Your quest for a circle starts online at the plan your circle page. On that page, you can find a map equipped with a smart circle tool.
Navigate to the location you’re planning to run, click on the map and adjust the circle until you’ve found a possible path that stays within the circle band. Running a bigger circle gives you a bit more tolerance, but requires more endurance!
And then...
Rivers, railways and highways might be in your way, but almost every city has circular routes waiting to be run. Remember: safety first, don't do dangerous things!
Challenge yourself to remember the route: usually you only need to remember 5 or 6 key turns. You train both your mind and body!
Step 2: Run, walk or wheelchair cycle!
Make sure you have Strava or ASICS Runkeeper ready on your smartphone to record your GPS track.
Head to your starting point, wait for accurate GPS reception, and start running. Complete the loop so your finish connects to your start.
Step 3: Submit your activity online
Go to GoForACircle.com and connect via Strava or ASICS Runkeeper. We will crunch the numbers: how perfect was your circle?
Compete in leagues, collect awesome badges, and share your circle with friends!
